Sheep Shagging Blues begins with a gentle folksy melody which relates a tale of the true and deep love a young shepherd boy has for one of his sheep. After being stood up at the alter on his wedding day the young shepherd boy snaps and goes on a murderous rampage, ultimately murdering the love of his life.
At this point the song changes into a vicious cacophony of angry swirling guitars that reach out and grab the listener by the throat shaking him violently with raw emotion, leaving him reeling with the power and intensity. Before recording the track Norbert had to learn to play the guitar. After literally seconds of practice the masterpiece that is Sheep Shagging blues was created. The song of course is a metaphor for the curse of modern society, Domestic Violence. The effects of the song on Norbert were dramatic. Traumatised by his excursion into the murky world of domestic abuse he decided to try and do something about it. Thus the first seeds of thought as regards a career in law enforcement were born. The song was never a favourite amongst most Fingolstones fans, in fact most thought it to be total crap. The true meaning of the song lost on a crowd of fans who preferred songs they could relate to. The song however was a hit in Wales (never could work out why). Statue erected in memory of Flossie the Sheep.
